Dr. Fay Kastrinos is a gastroenterologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She directs a multi-disciplinary specialty clinic at the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, for genetic risk assessment and cancer prevention in familial gastrointestinal syndromes, and also serves as director of the Muzzi Mirza Pancreatic Cancer Prevention & Genetics Program. Her primary research and clinical interests in the genetics and prevention of colorectal and pancreatic cancer, have led to the development of risk assessment tools to optimize the identification of high risk individuals eligible for personalized cancer risk reduction strategies. Dr. Kastrinos participates in collaborative research efforts, nationally and internationally, and has been supported by the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, and numerous GI professional societies.
