I am the Chief of the Gastroenterology Department at Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, coordinator of the GI cancer High-Risk Clinic, and associate professor at the University of Barcelona. My research has focused on 1) improving the clinical and molecular characterization of high-risk forms of CRC, such as Lynch syndrome and serrated polyposis syndrome; 2) development of dendritic-based cancer vaccines in Lynch syndrome; and 3) development of non-invasive biomarkers for early-diagnosis and prevention of CRC. I have published >300 articles, with an h index of 41 (Web of Science). I have been the secretary general of the Spanish GI association (AEG; 2016-2020), being part of the Research Committee of the United European Gastroenterology (UEG), and I am currently part of the Research Group of the Collaborative Group of the Americas on Inherited Gastointestinal Cancer. I am a member of the organizing committee of the 10th Biennial Meeting of INSIGHT in Barcelona.
