Dr. Makhnoon is a public health geneticist and her research focused on the translation of genomic applications into clinical practice and the ethical, legal and social implications or ELSI of genomics. Her interdisciplinary research aims to improve utilization of cancer genomics innovations across the cancer continuum, with a focus on uncertain and reclassified genetic test results.
