Dr. Moshiri is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Dermatopathology at the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University. He serves as the operations director for one of the highest volume academic dermatopathology labs in the country, and the fellowship director for the dermatopathology fellowship. His research interests include molecular diagnostics and prognostics for melanoma, as well as how the immune microenvironment of skin cancers influence response to immunotherapies. Prior to being recruited to NYU, Dr. Moshiri headed the pigmented lesion program at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, where he specialized in delivering oncolytic viral therapy to patients with non-resectable and treatment-resistant skin cancers.

Dr. Moshiri has co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, including in high impact journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine. He is active in numerous national and international dermatology organizations, and serves on committees for the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, and Association of Professors of Dermatology. He also serves on the editorial board of several academic journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
