CGA-IGC is pleased to offer six $2000 awards to CGA-IGC members to defray costs associated with in-person attendance at our Annual Meeting in St. Louis, MO from October 9 – 11.
The aim of these travel grants is to promote the professional development of trainees and early career professionals in the field of hereditary gastrointestinal cancers. At least half of the awards will be offered to allied health professionals (genetic counselors, nurses, social workers, advanced practice providers). Applications from individuals who submitted a research abstract will be prioritized, but submission of an abstract is not mandatory.
Please upload the following documents here by July 21, 2025 (pdf format for all documents):
(1) Brief paragraph (3-4 sentences) on how attending the CGA-IGC annual meeting will benefit the applicant’s professional development
(2) Attestation that the applicant is a trainee or in their early career (within five years of completion of training)
(3) Title of submitted research abstract (if applicable)
(4) Curriculum vitae
If selected for the award, a short biography and headshot will be requested to be used in media materials by CGA-IGC announcing and celebrating the award.
Incomplete applications may be excluded from consideration. Applicants will be notified by July 28, 2025, and must attend the CGA-IGC Annual Meeting in St. Louis, MO from October 9 - 11. Winners will also be invited to the CGA-IGC Awards Reception on the evening of October 8th to be recognized.
