María José Mullins, RN, RM
María José Mullins is an oncology RN and nurse-midwife with more than 15 years of experience in hereditary cancer risk assessment. She currently leads the Oncology Genetic Counseling Committee at Clínica Alemana de Santiago, Chile, where she provides specialized care to individuals and families at risk for hereditary cancer.
She is a founding member and the current President of SOCHIAGO, the Chilean Society of Genetic Counseling in Oncology. In this role, she has played a leading part in advancing professional education, practice standards, and access to genetic counseling services in Chile. She completed her certification in Cancer Genetics Risk Assessment at City of Hope Cancer Center in 2012.
María José also teaches in the Diploma Program in Genetic Cancer Risk Assessment at Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, which provides specialized training for healthcare professionals from across Latin America. She is also an active member of LA-GETH, the Latin American Study Group on Hereditary Tumors.
