In collaboration with the Colon Cancer Foundation, CGA-IGC is offering a travel grant in the amount of $2000 to a trainee or early career member to recognize excellence in translational research focused on the molecular biology of colorectal cancer. The Colon Cancer Foundation has a special interest in the biology of early age onset and hereditary colorectal cancer, however research in other areas of colorectal cancer (such as novel treatments, innovative minimally invasive screening strategies) will also be considered.

If you are interested in applying for this grant, you should submit an abstract to the 2025 CGA-ICG Annual Meeting.

Please upload the following application documents here by May 16, 2025  to be considered for this award (pdf format for all documents):

  1. a signed letter of support from your training program director or division leader attesting that you are a trainee or early career member (within two years of appointment)
  2. a curriculum vitae
  3. Personnel Statement (max. 300 words)

Your bio and headshot photo will be requested from the selected applicant and they may be used in media materials by CGA-IGC and/or the CCF.

Incomplete applications may be excluded from consideration. Applicants will be notified at the end of June 2025,  and must attend the CGA-IGC Annual Meeting in St. Louis, MO, including an awards reception on the evening of October 8th, 2025.
