CGA-IGC is pleased to offer seven $2000 travel grants to CGA-IGC members to defray costs associated with in-person attendance at the 2026 CGA-IGC Annual Meeting in Denver, CO from November 2-4.

Six of the travel grants are available to trainees and early career professionals in the field of hereditary gastrointestinal cancer. The goal of these grants is to support professional development and participation in the CGA-IGC Annual Meeting. At least half of these awards will be offered to allied health professionals including genetic counselors, nurses, social workers and advanced practice providers.

One additional travel grant is available to CGA-IGC members working in Latin America. This travel award is not restricted to early career professionals.

Applications from individuals who submitted a research abstract will be prioritized, but submission of an abstract is not mandatory.  Award recipients from Latin America will also receive complimentary registration for the 2026 CGA-IGC Annual Meeting.

(1) Brief paragraph (3-4 sentences) on how attending the CGA-IGC annual meeting will benefit your professional development.

(2) Attestation

Applicants must indicate which travel grant they would like to be considered for and provide the corresponding attestation. 

If applying for the early career travel grant:

  • Attestation that you are a trainee or in your early career (within five years of completion of training)

If applying for the Latin American travel grant:

  • Attestation that you live and work in Latin America and will be traveling from Latin America to attend the 2026 CGA-IGC Annual Meeting

*Applicants who wish to be considered for both travel grants may select “Both” in the application form and must provide both attestations. A second application is not required.

(4) Curriculum vitae

If selected for the award, a short biography and headshot will be requested to be used in media materials by CGA-IGC announcing and celebrating the award.

Incomplete applications may be excluded from consideration. Applicants will be notified by August 7, 2026, and must attend the CGA-IGC Annual Meeting in Denver, CO from November 2-4, 2026. Winners will also be invited to the CGA-IGC Awards Reception on the evening of November 1, 2026 to be recognized.
