Melissa Levin, MSW, LICSW (she/her/hers) is a senior social worker at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and is The Neuro-Inclusive Oncology Care and Empowerment Program Specialist. She provides supportive psycho-social oncology services to people who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) and are facing cancer. Melissa is co-leads Dana-Farber's Disability Competent Care committee, which addresses systems improvements to remove barriers that produce inequitable cancer outcomes. In her prior roles, Melissa provided counseling to transition-age youth with IDD and worked alongside self-advocates in participatory action research settings.
Melissa has a Master's in Social Work from Boston University and is a former Boston Children's LEND fellow (leadership and education in neurodevelopmental disabilities).
